Thirty-seven buyers from Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas visited the region to meet potential suppliers from Aragón.
AREX is stepping up its efforts to help Aragonese exporters open new markets in the face of a complex geopolitical situation.
The fourth edition of the Meet the Buyer Aragón event has concluded with a highly positive outcome: over 450 B2B meetings held between international buyers and Aragonese exporters. The sessions, organized by AREX (Aragón Exterior) in collaboration with Aragón, Sabor de Verdad, achieved their goal of creating new business opportunities for exporting companies from Aragón in the agri-food, industrial, and construction sectors. More than 120 local companies attended scheduled meetings with purchasing managers from 19 different countries at the Hotel Palafox.
In organizing and preparing Meet the Buyer Aragón, AREX capitalizes on its extense international network of consultants specialized in foreign trade, who identify importers and distributors interested in expanding their portfolio of suppliers and whose requirements may be matched by Aragón’s offering.
The buyers, coming from Europe, Asia, North Africa and Latin America, learned first-hand about the competitive offerings of Aragonese companies. In the agri-food sector, buyers look for attractive products to expand their range across different channels—from supermarkets and horeca (hotels, restaurants and catering) to gourmet products. Industrial buyers are interested in subcontracting suppliers such as machining or welding, as well as parts and supplies. In the construction sector, meetings focused on various types of machinery and materials.
After the meeting sessions, the international buyers had the chance to personally experience the know-how of Aragonese companies by visiting the facilities of about 30 firms throughout the region. During these visits they gained deeper insights into the companies’ production capacities, innovative processes, and quality standards.
Meet the Buyer Aragón is supported by sponsors Ibercaja Empresas, Valencia Port Authority and Port of Barcelona, whose contribution is essential to the event’s success.
